She graduated at the Medical Faculty of Novi Sad, University of Novi Sad Serbia. She completed her specialization in psychiatry and subspecialization in forensic psychiatry at the Medical Faculty of Novi Sad, University of Novi Sad Serbia. She is employed at the Clinic for Psychiatry, Clinical Center of Vojvodina as Head of Department for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Associated professor at the Department of Psychiatry at Medical faculty of Novi Sad, University of Novi Sad.
he completed her academic studies in the field of multidisciplinary studies and biomedical engineering in Belgrade. Doc Dr. Svetlana Ivanović-Kovačević has been during her education at several foreign clinics such as the Institute for Psychiatry Hopital Pitie Salpetriere, Paris, France and Clinic for Mental Health, Family Department, University of Leicester. She graduated at the REBT center, Belgrade and holds an Internationally recognized Diploma in the field of cognitive, behavioral and emotional therapy.
She is one of the leading experts in child and adolescent psychiatry Her experience encompasses a wide range in all fields of child and adolescent psychiatry, In addition, she introduced many new and up to date therapeutical principles in this field in Serbia, especially in the field of the anorexic and bulimic disorders. She has been a Principal investigator in a great number of clinical studies.
She authored and co-authored many scientific papers in the field of Psychiatry. She is one of the leading experts in all the fields of forensic psychiatry with emphasis on forensic psychiatry in child and adolescents.
